CISCO, COMPLETEL and UBIQUBE SOLUTIONS ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO OFFER NEW-GENERATION SECURITY SOLUTIONS TO ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS

Paris, May 5 –Cisco, the worldwide network and security leader, and UBIqube Solutions, the global integrated network, security and VoIP management solution vendor, announced today their partnership with Completel, the third-largest service provider in France, to launch a suite of innovative managed security services.
Combining network and security devices from Cisco with UBIqube’s innovative Converged Services Delivery Platform, will allow Completel to significantly expand the breadth and depth of its Managed Security Services offering for its corporate customer base.
This partnership will be the foundation of Completel to offer enterprise customers a complete suite of security services to address their security management requirements around Internet and remote access, with managed firewall, content filtering and IPSEC VPN services. UBIqube’s Converged Service Delivery Platform allows Completel to provide provisioning and advanced reporting services that result in improved security management.
Since its merger with Numericable in 2007, Completel has benefited from a powerful national wide-optical fiber network. Today Completel is the only alternative operator with both a very large metropolitan fiber access in more than 50 French cities and comprehensive DSL coverage of French businesses.
Completel plans to innovate and to develop a complete suite of services based on the national DSL network to address the increasing customer services requirements.
“The MSActivator solution, recommended by Cisco, empowers Completel with a robust, yet scalable back office from which to address the growing demand for outsourced IT security services,” said Nabil Souli, CEO and chairman of UBIqube Solutions.
Emmanuel Cornuau, Completel’s marketing director, said, “This partnership with network and security specialists allows Completel to enlarge and optimize the service offering and to guarantee the overall service quality. In addition, Completel offers advanced service reporting and provisioning that facilitate holistic security management for our customers.”
“Interconnecting enterprise networks creates security management challenges,” said Marc Frentzel, technical director of Cisco France. “The contamination of these networks is no longer limited to a single Internet gateway origin, it is now distributed. A holistic approach to security management starting from its architectural inception, by including intrusion prevention and firewall technologies in the network devices, effectively improves the network's availability. Completel's managed services allow to deliver, on a large scale, industrialized security management solutions to SMB and large enterprises.”
