UBIqube SmartSOC Product overview

UBIqube SmartSOC

The all-in-one Network and Security lifecycle management solution
The UBIqube SmartSOCTM is a unique, converged network and security life cycle management solution.
The SmartSOCTM bridges the gap between network and security management. This appliance will provide IT managers with a single solution for device provisioning, change management, security policy implementation, asset management, log archiving, security reporting, and monitoring. Through automation it streamlines the IT managers’ tasks and reduces complexity for greater efficiency, security and compliancy.
The SmartSOCTM eliminates the need for vendor specific device management software and provides holistic security monitoring and reporting capabilities.
A SmartSOCTM operator will benefit from a single web based GUI to control all stages of network and security lifecycle management.
The Web-based GUI was designed for greater user experience and efficiency.  Profiles are used for security rules configuration. Intuitive navigation ensures fast information access, facilitates root causes analysis and remediation initiatives. Tiered administration rights make it possible to delegate SmartSOCTM operation to a local IT department or even a Service Fulfilment Partner.
Bridging Network and Security by centralized management through a unified platform, will result in reduced operational costs, optimized use of resources, increase network availability and a more secure IT Infrastructure.

SmartSOC combines the following features

Web interface: Built around an ITIL compliant Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The design of the SmartSOCTM is based on a modular architecture, utilizing best of breed technologies to build each component.  The Web-based GUI enables a customer centric approach to service management. It offers the performance of a thick client and the universal-accessibility benefits of a web application. The abstraction layer takes away the complexity of managing a heterogeneous IT environment.

Device staging and provisioning: The Web-based GUI provides a unified, intuitive, and agnostic interface to easily provision multi-vendor devices (Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet …). The staging and provisioning workflow streamlines the set-up of new devices with a zero touch deployment approach.

Profile-based rule definition: The Profile-based service definition approach allows the configuration of the complete network and security policy using a set of predefined configuration templates. The Web-based GUI gives a set of predefined profiles for VPN, Firewall, IPS, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, URL-filtering and VoIP. It minimizes human errors and guarantees the consistency of global network information.

Asset management: This feature provides inventory management for services, hardware, software and licences.  It gives a centralized view for the life-cycle management of services and devices. The SmartSOCTM dynamically tracks all managed assets allowing 100% visibility with global and detailed views for one or several customers.

Change management: In addition to the profile-based approach, the SmartSOCTM includes device configuration change management. Configurations are collected automatically and managers are warned when changes occur via the Web-based GUI; roll-back to the previous configuration can easily be performed, if necessary.

Monitoring: The SmartSOCTM monitors default Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in real-time. Open monitoring profiles can easily be created to add custom KPI in addition to the default ones. The MapView , the embedded graphical monitoring console,  displays, in real-time, the status of the devices and the associated KPI and alerts. It includes a Google map API to find out where devices are located.

Reporting:  The SmartSOCTM, collects, classifies, analyses, and archives logs and events received from the managed assets. It automatically computes security dashboards, Top 5 of events and alerts, event history and summary reports. User friendly detailed pdf reports are available online via the Web-based GUI. Combined with a tamper proof log arching engine, these reports can be used to demonstrate compliancy with SOX, Basel II, HIPAA and PCI recommendations.

Performance: The SmartSOCTM is composed of multi-threaded, multi daemons engine that take advantage of multi-core central processing units. This multi-tenant architecture allows the management of up to 2000 devices can handle more than 3000 events per seconds.
